Using this HyperCard stack you will be able to collect all the URLs stored in all your text files catched during your NewsGroup reading.
Opening the stack you will be ask to indicate the correct Netscape appl name. You must select it. After this, you can start to collect URLs from your text files clicking on the "Import" button and selecting a file you know contains URLs.
Clicking on one of the collected URLs, HyperCard will tell to Netscape the name of the selected URL and Netscape will try to connect the URL.
In this stack I used the AppleScript "GetURL" command. If you don't utilize Netscape, but the appl you have accept the GetURL command, you can use this stack.

• Added a button on the URL's field. Clicking on "Launch URL" the button switches to "Edit URL". In the "Edit URL" mode you may add/edit/delete lines of the URL field. However, you can edit the field lines without switching the button but holding the shift key when click the URLs' field.
• There is a new button to the right of the URLs field. It is a popup button (version > 2.2 ...sorry.). You can give your score to the Site now !!
• The Sort button now ask you if you want to sort by Domains *or* by Ratings. Holding down the option key, you may sort by Date (yes, when you import URLs from text files, the import date is stored... click the domain field !)
• In the first card there is a SoundEffect on/off button. This button switch off the "effect" only (the noise played when click on a button or field)
• Changed the "go next" & "go prev" script.
• Have you tons of URLs imported in an older version of this stack ? The "Get my old URLs" button is what you are looking for ! It will import all the URLs stored in older version of this stack ! WARNING: it perform a "fast" import and don't check for duplicates. Maybe in future updates. :-)
This stack is Freeware. It can be freely distributed without any changes from: online services, BBS, non-profit user groups, people and can also be included in all CD-ROM or Disk magazines (anyway an e-mail or a notice will be welcome, as well as a copy of the magazine or media :-)
